Ambience Stone House Museum

is a small museum installed in an historic building in the city of Caxias do Sul , RS . It is located on the street Matteo Gianella, 531.The museum is dedicated to rebuilding the domestic lifestyle of the early colonization of Italian in the city. It has a small but interesting collection of items donated by the community, dating from the late nineteenth century until the beginning of the twentieth century , including a variety of household items, furniture , pieces of clothing and crafts such as quilts and towels embroidered crochet, some prints with iconography sacred, primitive farming tools and other home industry, such as spinning wheels and looms manuals.However, the biggest attraction of the museum is the house itself, popularly known as the Stone House, the only remnant of its kind within the city of Caxias do Sul, and therefore of the highest historical value. It was built in the late nineteenth century by immigrant Giuseppe Lucchese and their children, then called the local 9 th league. In 1918 the family moved to Brunetta, and between 1947 and 1974 belonged to the family Tomazzoni.
