By Train

Initially there were three stations in Beringen.Two passengers located in Beringen Centre and Beverlo and one for passenger and freight station Beringen Mines.These stations are all along line 15 Antwerp-Hasselt.That Beringen-Mines was also the end of line 17 which Diest covenant Beringen Mines.The station in Beringen Centre was closed in 1984.That Beringen-Mines was closed to passengers in 1986 and for goods in 1992.

By Bus

Beringen is easily accessible by public transport.In Beverlo is the railway station and a depot of the line.Beringen Centre is a bus station where all lines converge.Number of buses run by Beringen: 2: Hasselt - Beringen (Mijnen), 7: Diest - Paal - Beringen, 14: Leopoldsburg - Bree - Maaseik and 29: Hasselt - Beringen - Lommel.The express buses to and from Antwerp and Brussels (lines 68 and 179) only stop in Paal (Zwanenberg Street or Post-Village) and Beringen (Kasteletsingel or Bus Station Platform 1).

By Road

In Beringen there is an exit of the E313 motorway which is exit 26 Beringen Pole in the borough.Beringen can also be reached via Exit 25a Tessenderlo and along the E314 via exit 28 Zolder.There has long been discussion about extending the N73 to the E313 in Ham.The road now runs from Kinrooi into Heppen and should continue to be extended till the exit 25a of the E313.The municipality and the city of Ham Beringen are asking for here long.Ham for the traffic from the center to keep to the very busy and Beringen Paalsesteenweg (N29 Beringen-Diest-Charleroi by E313 exit 26 Beringen) to relieve the daily long traffic jams between Pole and Beringen.There was several times a negative report issued by environmental organizations.

St. Theodarduskerk Church

The St. Theodarduskerk to My Beringen, called my cathedral.The church is between 1939 and 1943 built in Byzantine style.The dark galleries for the entrance symbolize the underground infrastructure.

St. Peter's Church

The late Gothic Decanal St. Peter's Church Band Beringen Centre whose oldest parts date from 1654 and raised in Demer gothic with Diestse iron sandstone.In 1839 the tower collapsed and damaged the church.This together with the tower was rebuilt in Gothic Revival style.In 1949 it became part of the late Gothic church protected and in 1993 the neo-gothic part.

Flemish Mining Museum

The Flemish Mining Museum is a museum on the site of the colliery in Beringen in the Belgian municipality of Beringen.The museum was created in 1985 at the initiative of Gilbert Goddeeris, former director of my Beringen.Guided tours of the museum and the buildings of the mine are organized by an association of former employees.In the underground area of the museum include a pier and a stone walkway reconstructed.The museum organizes a number of events to focus on the Limburg mining history going.The pit head frames, mine material, shower rooms, laundry coal, garden city, my cathedral and even a mosque in Beringen preserved.

Millennium Golf

Millennium Golf Pole is one of the few golf clubs in the Belgian province of Limburg.The first plans for the club came in 1998 to establish the ground.When the club in 2000 became a member of the Royal Belgian Golf Federation, there was no job, but the club already had 680 members.In 2000, the driving range open end of the year and also the clubhouse and shop.In April 2001, the par-3 course opened in June were the first 9 holes opened in October was the whole champions course ready.The course was designed by Bruno Steensels, both in Belgium and in the Netherlands.
