By Air

The city is about 300 km North of Bucharest.It is served by Bacau International Airport which provides daily direct links with the Romanian cities Bucharest and Timisoara and international links with 11 cities in Italy and Germany.Bacau air traffic control centre is one of Europe's busiest as it handles transiting flights between the Middle and Near East and South Asia to Europe and across the Atlantic.

By Train

The Bacau Railway Station (Gara Bacau) is one of the busiest in Romania it has access to the Romanian railway main trunk number 500.Thus the city is connected to the main Romanian cities the railway station is an important transit stop for international trains from Ukraine, Russia and Bulgaria.

By Road

The city has access to the DN2 road (E85) that links it to the Romanian capital, Bucharest (to the South) and the cities of Suceava and Iasi (to the North).The European route E574 is an important access road to Transylvania and the city of Brasov.Also the city is located also at the intersection of several national roads of secondary importance.

Church of St. John

was built between 1802 and 1812 allegedly by John Mocanu and priest John Moses.His painting style is Byzantine interior was done in two stages, 1922 - 1931 and 1969 - 1970.In the first decades of the nineteenth century when public schools have not yet surfaced the priests of this church teach children to read and write townsmen.

Ascension Cathedral in Bacau

Iulian Antonescu Museum

The Museum "Iulian Antonescu" is in Bacau, located on Street May 9 no.7, founded in 1957, the museum has worked since 1959 with three sections: history, science and art.

Summer Theatre in Bacau

Cancicov Park

Cancicov Park is where relaxation of Bacau is the meeting place of lovers and green oasis of mothers that their babies walk in nature.The park has an area of 24.50 hectares is arranged in the Royal Decree of 9 May 1938 and is the most important green area of the central area of town.was modified in that was small in size and renamed Liberty Park and Park Cancicov later after the land donation by the family Cancicov.He had a stadium but later canceled the current site to build the palace Museum of Natural Sciences.

Rose Park
