How to Reach

By plane

The airport is near the city and well comunicated by bus and highway. The mail bus company, Alsa, comunicate the city whit all the provinces and the most important cities in the country. There're also dayly bus services every 30 minutes between Oviedo, Aviles and Gijon.

By railway

There are two companies, FEVE and RENFE. The first links the city with Gijon, the west of the province, the north coast os Spain and Galicia. The another one, RENFE, goes to Oviedo, the south of the province and the rest of the country.

Church of San Francisco

The former convent of San Francisco de Aviles is located in the old town of Aviles in Asturias.  After the confiscation of Mendizabal, the Franciscans leave the convent and go on to become the present parish of St. Nicholas of Bari.Abandoned the former convent of the Franciscans, it becomes occupied by the Poor Clares of Oviedo during the years 1837-1847. In the course of the nuns, the City Council to petition His Majesty the Queen to open for worship.

Palacio del Marques de Ferrera

The palace of the Marquis de Ferrera is located in the Plaza of Spain Aviles in Asturias. It is a Baroque palace that sits in front of the town council. It dates to the mid- seventeenth century.It has a square tower with a single prism. Baroque style although its decor is sparse and sober character. Would highlight the shields that decorate the facade, especially large one that contains the heraldic arms of the Rodriguez de Leon, Avila, Hevia, Estrada, and likewise those of Oviedo.

Palacio de Llano Ponte

Llano Ponte Palace or House of Pumarino Garcia is located in the town of Asturias of Aviles. Located in a corner of the Plaza of Spain in the street Rivero, No. 5, this palace was built by an Indian who made his fortune in Peru, Rodrigo Garcia Pumarino.  The Indian also built the manor of La Puente, in Viono. The palace was built between 1700 and 1706 in style baroque by architect Francisco Menendez walks.  In the year 1774, after the death of its founder, the house was changed to a property in Sabugo, becoming family property Llano Ponte, namely Francisco de Llano Ponte.  

Armando Palacio Valdes Theatre

Armando Palacio Valdes Theatre is a theater in the city of Aviles, Asturias, Spain ,This building was built by architect Manuel del Busto in the early twentieth century.  This theater project architect neobaroque longitudinal arrangement, parallel to the front due to technical problems that entailed the site chosen for construction

Church of St. Thomas of Canterbury

The Church of St. Thomas of Canterbury in the municipality of Aviles is a church Romanesque set in the middle of the old fishing village of Sabugo, in the current Aviles Carballo Square, outside the walls of the medieval near protected the village. It seems that its construction began in the early decades of the thirteenth century, although some scholars assigned to other chronologies.

Valdecarzana Palace

The palace is located Valdecarzana in the town of Asturias for Aviles. It is a palace built between the XV and XVI as a house of a wealthy merchant avilesino. The building belongs to the style Gothic underwent a complete restoration in the early twentieth century to become the city's historical archive. It is the oldest civil building in Aviles.

Camposagrado Palace

Camposagrado Palace is a palatial style late Gothic town located in Asturias for Aviles. Its two main facades were built in the seventeenth century, the current park overlooking the spring when it was built but looked directly into the river and overlooking the square Camposagrado.  The party was merged into the river in its creation with the defensive wall of the city because it led directly to the estuary, this gives an architectural character of defense.

Maqua Palace

Macua Palace is located in the town of Asturias for Aviles. Built during the nineteenth century and twentieth Maqua family consists of three floors which stands on the third floor balconies.The palace was restored in 1983 and 1997. It declared a Cultural Monument status with the October 3 of 1991

Black Ceramic Museum

Black Ceramic Museum is located in the town of Asturias for Aviles. This is a museum located in the parish house collects samples of pottery recovered and collected black by priest Jose Manuel Feito.It is an interesting museum from the ethnographic point of view.

Alfercam Museum

Alfercam Museum is a museum of music and automotive in Aviles, Asturias, Spain.  The museum's name comes from a combination of the surnames of the owners, the brothers and Fer nando Al fredo Cam hair.It opened on December 15th of 2006, becoming the first museum of Aviles. It is open from Wednesday to Sunday.  

Oscar Niemeyer International Cultural Center

The Oscar Niemeyer International Cultural Centre is a cultural complex designed by Oscar Niemeyer that intregra different artistic and cultural events such as exhibitions, music, theater, dance, film and cuisine among others. is located on the right bank of the estuary of Aviles in Asturias, Spain.  It is the first major piece of the Island of Innovation, a larger project for urban regeneration Aviles, which does the deepest healing to alleviate urban and environmental degradation suffered by the city during the industrialization of the 50 and subsequent conversion.  It was inaugurated on March 26, 2011.
