How to Reach Ranikhet

Take NH 24 to Rampur via Moradabad and later follow NH 87 from which leads to Kathagodam through Rudrapur and Haldwani. The state highway from Kathagodam will lead to Ranikhet.

The destination for people, who would prefer train for a relaxed journey to reach at Ranikhet, will get off at Kathgodam, the nearby rail station almost 80km away from Ranikhet. Kothagodam has railway connectivity with Delhi, Howrah and other major railway stations of India. The major train services to Kothagodam are Dehradun- Kathgodam Express from Dehradun etc. Where the trains from Dehradun, Delhi and Howrah have daily arrivals, the Jammu Garib Rath is available only on Sundays and Kanpur on Mondays. Tourists have to spend Rs. 1500 for pre-paid taxi services.
